Laura's Story
I think I spent most of my HS days "blending" in. Besides my love of music and being involved in the choir, the musical My Fair Lady and a few other shows that came up (Yes, I was Cyndi Lauper in those lip sync shows), I was the quiet girl. My memories of high school weren't very fond. I wasn't the girl popular with the boys, I wasn't having the fun that many others were, I was waiting patiently for the day it all ended unfortunately. I spent my 20s going from job to job, traveling to California and being somewhat of a groupie for some of my favorite rock bands. My father's death in '97 floored me. I was deva...Expand for more
stated. I met the man who would become my husband later that year and we married in 2000. We settled in to a beautiful new home in Mt Royal and expected to start a family but stress (from various sources) prevented me from becoming pregnant. We focused on traveling all across the US and creating music together (he is an amazing guitar player). In 2008, after many years of vacationing to Arizona, we decided to make a major change and move to the Grand Canyon state. My husband, Steve, and I now spend our time writing and recording our music (we have 3 CDs out), hiking, biking and loving our beautiful state.
